- Lab Update (Run 76 in progress)
- Problem with HV solved - turned out to be a mistake connecting cables to HV box
- have taken 100V data with Side2-readout
- Side1-readout probably won't work because one Side 2 channel is shorted to chassis. But I could try…
- Can't resolve 14keV line in new data, not sure why
- maybe it's harder in the HV case when source is close to edge between channels
- Attempted to estimate noise width by comparing to similar Run75 data:
- use 60keV peak position in pT integral to normalize; find that relative to 60keV, the noise width in the new data is only 58% as wide as the Run75 series
- suggests sigma = 2.75 eVee, extremely good if true
- With 0-volt data, with source in current position, and only looking at Side2, 14keV is resolvable
- Now trying lower bias, ~ 25 V
- Anthony and Kitty still working on trigger that allows for selecting specific NaI detectors
