Previous Day

  • Lab in-personnel: Matt
Status Run 76 in progress
Setup Cables 2/3/1 → diverter/nothing/nothing → Side2-readout HV CONN 1/3/2 → HV 1(L)/2(R) → DCRC50(3)/DCRC55(1), DCRC33(2)→HV control, NaI trigger signal → DCRC52(6)
0810 QET biases are set to dP/dI=0.7uV based on yesterday's IbIs. Adjust offsets so baselines are around -0.85 V
0820 MC/Coldplate = 28.5/140 mK, Still = 1.09 K / 0.110 mbar / 0 mW, G1/G2= 120/120 mbar, 1K Pot = 18° / 1.57 K / 11±1 mbar
0834 Dial HV up to 114.7 V using RootSequencer for prebias. Set it to rise about 5 V/s with 0.25 second steps.
Phonon baselines go up a little but pulses still look good
0839 After 5 minutes dial HV down to 99.9 V
0842 Start 99.8 V data series after 5 min 15% prebias, 51 min long, with 1000 initial randoms, 5 Hz in-run randoms, trigger on DCRC3pD threshold 10.
Start series with the Start Button.
0935 Dial HV down to 0V after data series ends
1542 Begin LHe transfer @ MB = 27.2%
1610 Fill LN2 cold trap bath
1625 End LHe transfer @ MB = 95.6%

Analysis of today's 100V Side2 data:

  • It isn't nearly as easy to resolve the calibration lines as in Run75. Maybe because of the source position? It's straddling pC and pD over Side2.
  • Since I can't resolve the 14keV line I can't measure the noise width the same way I did in Run75
  • Comparing the uncalibrated noise widths and the position of the 60keV line between runs, it looks like the noise width in the new series is only 58% as wide as the Run75 series, normalized to 60keV peak position
  • Since the Run75 series had noise width 4.7 eVee, that suggests the noise width in this series is only 2.75 eVee
