  • Lab in-personnel: Himangshu
Status Warmup in progress. Warmed upto 10K yesterday. Will add exchange gas today
1500 MC(Cernox) = 15.51 K. Sorb = 46 K, MB = -1%
Isolate IVC by closing the valves on the top of the fridge. Add a tubelength of He gas to the IVC line to bring it up to atmosphere to open it and connect the line to the CVJ
1519 Pump out the IVC line with the scroll pump and after pressure < 1e-1 mbar, switch it to turbo. If the turbo can take it down, it means that there are no leaks in the new connections that you made.
1520 Valve out the turbo to prepare to add exchange gas to the CVJ (as per Matt's notes).
1525 Let 3.4 mbar He gas into vacuum manifold. Then open cryostat vacuum jacket valve to let this into the vacuum jacket. Vacuum Jacket → 0.10 mbar. Recovery meter turning slowly. Close CVJ valve.
1533 Add a tube length of He exchange gas to the IVC (turbo and CVJ closed). recovery meter turning slowly.
1547 MC = 17.49 K and rising, IVC = 0.14 mbar. Add another tube length of exchange gas. Now IVC = 0.34 mbar
1541 Close IVC valves.
