Status Run 76 in progress
Setup Cable 2/1/3 → diverter/nothing/nothing → DCRC50(3)/DCRC55(1)/DCRCX(4), NaI trigger signal → DCRC52(6)
1210 Fill LN2 cold trap bath
1212 MC/Coldplate = 28.6/139 mK, Still = 1.12 K / 0.120 mbar / 0 mW, G1/G2= 183/176 mbar, 1K Pot = 18° / 1.64 K / 23±2 mbar MB=23.6%.

Modifying LHe transfer procedure in an effort to improve recovery efficiency:

  1. Starting transfer
    1. When inserting lance into cryostat, leave it high up - lower it just enough so the o-ring seals above the extender. And plug the end as usual.
    2. When inserting flexible piece into transfer Dewar, extend the telescoping end to get it partway into Dewar and leave it high, level with lance
    3. Quickly connect flexible piece to lance - don't wait for plume
    4. Let sit for a few minutes until pressure goes down. Possibly extend telescoping piece further into Dewar.
    5. After a few minutes push the lance all the way down and the flexible piece down to be level with lance.
  2. Ending transfer
    1. Raise flexible piece high up in the transfer Dewar, above liquid level
    2. Raise lance in cryostat, as far as possible before it freezes on o-ring
    3. Wait for a bit to let pressure fall on its own (don't release any pressure)
    4. Continue with end procedure as usual
      1. if possible do this with 2 people, so the flexible part can be removed from the Dewar as quickly as possible.
1512 Begin LHe transfer @ MB = 19.1%
1600 End LHe transfer @ MB = 96.5%
