Previous Day

  • Lab in-personnel: Matt, Giulia
Status Run 75 in progress
Setup Tower Faces 5/3/2 → Cables 2/1/3 → nothing/diverter_board/nothing → DCRC55(1)/DCRC50(3)/DCRCx(4)
1110 Goldman/Tower/MC/Coldplate = 63.1/149/39.8/236 mK, Still = 1.89 K / 0.140 mbar / 0 mW, G1/G2= 144/139 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.65 K / 28±2 mbar. MB = 60.2%
Coldplate and Still thermometers reading anomalously high, as they sometimes do (always both at the same time)
1440 Tune SQUID on DCRC1pC. Try QET bias of 200, 300 uA - at 300 uA we see pulses :)
1500 Tune SQUID on DCRC1pD. Transition seems to be at lower QET biases for this channel: pulses seen at QET bias = 130 uA.
1510 Unable to tune SQUID on DCRC1pA. When we switch to PREAMP we don't see the test signal. May need to try with a different DCRC.
1515 Turn on pulse viewer with DCRC3 enabled. Zap DCRC3 SQUIDs.
1525 Try tuning SQUIDs on DCRC3 - but test signal doesn't seem to work.
1530 Try getting DCRC3 channels into transition. Can't find any pulses in pA. See pulses in pB at QETbias = 130 uA. Pulses in pC at 200 uA. pD has some problems - at first saw a bunch of downward spikes, adjusted SQUID settings a little to get rid of these - now the channel seems mostly unresponsive to changes in QET bias.
1620 Turn on pulse viewer with DCRC4 enabled. I don't think this DCRC works for SQUID tuning. Seeing pulses in all four channels at QET biases 180, 140, 300, 170 uA.
Zapping SQUIDs on DCRC4 seems to have had a cooling effect. Goldman temperature fell from 62.8 to 58.9 mK.
