Previous Day

Setup: DIB1/3/4 → 3.2 MHz filters 3/1/2 → cable 3/1/2 →gender changer 3/1/2 → DCRC55(1)/33(2)/50(3) (on/on/on)
0855 Tower = 34.4 mK, Main bath = 32.9%
0900 Fill LN2 cold trap bath
1014 Tower/MC/Coldplate = 34.5/31.4/197 mK, Still = 1.4 K / 0.110 mbar, G1/G2 = 221/220 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.690 K / 28 mbar, Main bath = 30.8%. Boil off rate: a bit faster than slow mode.
1100 Start DAQ programs with all three DCRCs enabled, then start MIDAS run. View DCRC3 traces with pulse viewer. It continues to function for over 18 minutes. This is longer than any time yesterday. Note: tracelength is about 10 ms, randoms rate 20 Hz. Also change some QET bias settings, so far no problems, continues to update traces.
1120 Zap SQUIDs on DCRC3. This causes DCRC3 to hang. When the sequence was started it was still OK, but it seems as soon as the actual zap began the DCRC hung. Traces are flatline at 0.001 volts and rd 0 produces 003D over and over.
1125 Stop DAQ programs, powercycle DCRC3.
1247 Start DAQ programs with all three DCRCs enabled, start a MIDAS run. DCRC hangs after less than 1 minute. No activity other than viewing with the pulse viewer.
1258 Start DAQ programs with all three DCRCs enabled, start a MIDAS run. Still going after 3 minutes. Left for a meeting… an hour later saw that it had hung. So between 3 and 60 minutes.
1441 Start LHe transfer (MB = 23.9%)
1521 Finish LHe transfer (MB = 93.6%)
1535 Release pressure from MB.
1620 Re release pressure from MB.
1631 After DCRC50 powercycle, restart DAQ programs and start MIDAS run. Stopped paying attention… DCRC hung some time between 3 and 30 minutes after starting the MIDAS run.
1705 Measure how much Vout changes with Driver Offset on DCRC2pC, because after studying the IbIs it seems like it's different than for DCRC2pB (both with driver gain = x1). For pB it was 8.515 V / offset unit. From the IbIs data it looks like about 8.58 V / offset unit for pC. Measuring it now at a fixed QET bias of -50 uA, for some reason it looks like 4.293 V / offset unit. That's almost exactly half what it looked like in the IbIs. Very confusing!
1732 Fill LN2 cold trap full.
