2016/10/21 (Friday)

Previous Day

Setup: DIB1/3/4 → 3.2 MHz filters → cables → DCRC55(1)/33(2)/50(3)
taking 0-bias data overnight, no flashing
Unfortunately DIB4pD railed at the beginning of the 15-hour data set last night
0855 Tower/MC/Coldplate = 34.6/36.4/220 mK, Still = 1.21 K / 55 μbar, G1/G2 = 110/100 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.51 K / 3.8 mbar. MB = 71.8%
Boiloff rate: good, slow-mode. Released pressure after yesterdays 90.9% fill at 14 and 41 minutes.
0900 Fill LN2 cold trap bath
0900 Tweak 1K Pot needle valve open a few more degrees.
0858 Stop data early to fix the railed channel. Besides DIB4pD a couple of other channels railed. Adjust all driver offsets (including unconnected channels) to place the baselines near -0.5 V.
0913 Start sequence of one-hour data series of 0V data with Frontend Gain = 5/2/5, OG = 8/3/8, with 1000 beginning and ending randoms, with no flashing in between series, and a 40ADC bin threshold trigger on DIB1 pB. (It's the 15-hour sequence but I plan to stop it early.)
0915 After LN2 fill and 1K Pot tweak, base is lower and pressures are higher: Tower = 32.8 mK, Still = 80 mbar, G1/G2 = 135/120 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.68 K / 22 mbar
1110 Notice DIB2pC is railed. Stop data to fix it.
1118 Start sequence of one-hour data series of 0V data with Frontend Gain = 5/2/5, OG = 8/3/8, with 1000 beginning and ending randoms, with no flashing in between series, and a 40ADC bin threshold trigger on DIB1 pB. (It's the 15-hour sequence but I plan to stop it early.)
1545 Stop data taking
1655 Finish mini-IbIs on DIB1 to get biased resistances at new QET biases.
1710 Finish mini-IbIs on DIB3 to get biased resistances at new QET biases.
1725 Finish mini-IbIs on DIB4 to get biased resistances at new QET biases.
Channel TES QET bias [μA] Rnormal [mΩ] Rbiased [mΩ] Rbiased/Rnormal
DIB1 pA 4 179 87.4 47.8 54.7%
DIB1 pB 3 182 82.2 42.2 51.3%
DIB1 pC 2 184 73.5 50.7 69.1%
DIB1 pD 9 191 88.5 50.3 56.9%
DIB3 pB 11 -176 95.8 66 68.9%
DIB3 pC 5 -175 99.7 59.5 59.7%
DIB4 pB 8 225 86.5 55.4 64.1%
DIB4 pC 1 190 96.2 47.1 49%
DIB4 pD 0 199 80.4 45.5 56.6%

Some of the Rnormal values are rather different from those measured yesterday. All the bias points seem to be around the halfway point of the transition.

1730 Fill LN2 cold trap full.
1750 Put Cf source near fridge for overnight activation.
