Previous Day

Setup: iZIP mode, DIB1/2/3 → cables → 3.2 MHz filters → DCRC55/33/50
Taking Y-Be photoneutron data overnight.
0900 Removed strong Y source from Y-Be source holder. Didn't notice that the last data series is still in progress…
Replaced batteries in the safe. It was becoming difficult to open it - usually it would not unlock after entering the combination. After replacing the batteries it works much better (and the beep is much louder).
0905 Tower = 31.8, Main bath = 57.0%
0910 The flash before the final series just occurred, and since I already removed the source I did “stop immediately” to cancel the last series.
0915 Fill LN2 cold trap Dewar.
0940 Tower/MC(H35)/MC sensor/Cold Plate = 31.3/26.9/41/160 mK, Still = 1.31 K / 0.12 mbar, G1/G2 = 215/205 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.70 K / 18 mbar, Main bath = 55.9%
1125 Disconnect DCRCs from fridge to use miniBoB to make sure they're outputting the correct charge biases.
DIB2 shows the proper charge biases, but DIB1 shows slightly incorrect charge biases by as much as ~15mV. DIB3 is far worse with Qo being off by ~100mV when attempting to output -4V. Turn off MIDAS calibrations to confirm that the calibration has changed and that it's not simply not applying the calibration for some reason.
This turns out to be a bug that was introduced to the code. After the calibrations last week Anthony modified the Midas startup code so that it would read the serial number of the DCRC. This somehow was screwing up the subsequent read of the calibration factors stored on the RevC.1 boards. He's working on fixing it now.
This means that recently the DIB1 applied biases have been using the default calibration rather than the corrected calibration. Luckily this board's calibration is very close to default.
1335 With MIDAS being reverted back to an older version, calibration settings get applied correctly. Unpower DCRCs and reconnect to EBox. Repower DCRCs and zap SQUIDs.
1345 Check phonon channels. Two railed, but changing the driver offsets fixes that. All others at usual baselines.
1350 Place Ba source at back of fridge inside topmost part of shield.
1450 Check all phonon channels again. They look OK.
1500 Anthony has corrected the code so that it will query the DCRC for its serial number and will also correctly get the calibration parameters. This needs to be tested. We'll test it later by using the old version of the code, setting the bias with MIDAS, then use the telnet session to check the register settings for the biases - then repeat using the new version of the code. The register settings should be the same. For now we are using the new code.
1512 Start 1 hour of 30min Ba series at -4/+4V with FG=5/2/5, OG=3, with 1000 initial randoms, 1000 ending randoms, 30s flash and 25 minute cooldown before series. Trigger on DIB1 phA with threshold of 30ADC bins.
1600 Attached all the Be pieces together in a stack (two Be metal disks and four white BeO disks). Covered them with a layer of aluminum foil. Taped these to the source holder plate.

1625 Commence LHe transfer (42.1%).
1655 Cease LHe transfer (90.2%).
1700 Check phonon channels. Everything looks good, but DIB3 pA, pB show small signs of low frequency noise. Release pressure in Main Bath.
1712 Start 16 hours of 30min Y-Be series at -4/+4V with FG=5/2/5, OG=3, with 1000 initial randoms, 1000 ending randoms, 30s flash and 25 minute cooldown before series. Trigger on DIB1 phA with threshold of 30ADC bins.
Fill LN2 cold trap full.
