2015/09/29 (Tuesday)

previous day

Current setup: iZIP mode, DIB1/2/3 → cables → 3.2 MHz filters → DCRC55/33/50.
Overnight: taking data, no external source. Last series began at 8:25, so should be finished with cycle at 9:10
0850 Fill LN cold trap Dewar
0855 Tower/MC(H35)/MC sensor/Cold Plate = 31.5/26.6/43.0/159 mK, Still = 1.37 K / 0.11 mbar, G1/G2 = 165 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.73 K / 22 mbar, Main bath = 73.3%
G1 much lower than G2 today, by about 20 mbar. So probably it was a good idea to switch traps yesterday.
Still coming off of a flash, so base temp high, not surprising. But Still pressure has been higher than average overnight. Is this typical during data taking?
1107 Place Cf source inside shield at top for taking Cf data.
1120 Perform test run to study rate of data writing to fileshare directory.
1125 Perform test run to study rate of data writing to fileshare directory.
1128 Place Cf source back in safe to test data writing to fileshare directory.
1710 After lots of debugging, finally get the datashare worked out. Place Cf source inside shield at the top for overnight data taking.
1715 Start data taking of 20 cycles of 15-minute runs of Cf data. Frontend Gain = 5/2/5, Output Gain = 3. Set phonon channels at 65 ADC bins across the board. 2000 events/file, 1000 initial randoms. 30s flashing, 30min cooldown in between series.
1725 Fill LN2 cold trap full.
