0002 ANV ugh, is this supposed to roll over to next run diary page? Anyway, I stopped flashing after plateau at about 280 mK.
0040 ANV started up last run of the night, will let it go for about 30 minutes, then stop it and leave
0111 ANV stopped current run and zero'd the charge bias and did a flash. I'll just turn off the LEDs then leave.
1203 ANV came in to do some more running, start with a flash – checked that biases are still zero
1230 Fill LN2 cold trap full.
1300 Start LHe transfer (38.6%).
1336 End LHe transfer (95.7%).
1400 ANV tried taking out the 88Y source and 133Ba source to look for saturation and gain matching in 07150620_1402
1435 ANV flashed the detector for a Ba run since the gains seemed roughly matched and no saturation was evident
1528 ANV start a Ba run with the source about 1 m from fridge at detector level
1640 ANV end Ba run, it was longer because I got lunch
1807 ANV finished flashing and cooling and started a new Ba run … time flies!
1842 ANV finished second Ba run, flashing now. Plan to cool down and put Cf source on dewar in hopes of activating the 10 keV
1843 ANV btw, the activity of the Cf source was quoted at 10 uCi in 2010 (June 1), the half-life is 2.65 y so that means the source is about 2.5 uCi now. Probably we should get another stronger source, but we'll see if we can activate the detector by putting the source real close
1846 ANV me, Nick and Allison did tests earlier today that showed that the 88Y source did not seem to affect the rate much (not surprising it was 100 uCi in spring '13 but the half-life is only like 100 days. So it's been about 7 half lives so that puts this source down at about 780 nCi, pretty small). The Ba source did affect the DAQ by making the rate GO DOWN, I guess this means it was increasingly dead – this is curious but maybe OK, we were looking at pulses at the time so that might have been part of it.
