0822 ANV came in to observe LEDs on all DIBs on, temperature overnight seemed roughly stable at 240 mK. I turned off the LEDs and am letting the temperature come back down. We should probably try to get in a data taking mode after that.
0846 Fill LN2 cold trap dewar.
0905 Attempting to set up DIB1/DCRC31. Phonon A pulses upside down for some reason. pB should have QET bias -90 but no pulses unless it's reduced to -70. pC QET bias also had to be reduced by 10 to see pulses. pD QET bias had to be reduced from -73 to -43. Clearly DCRC31 is not working as it was. Power cycle DCRC31.
0928 MC/Tower = 31.0/25.1 mK, Cold plate = 142 mK, Still = 2 mW / 1.11 K / 0.11 mbar, G1/G2 = 210/195 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.71 K / 17 mbar, Main bath = 75.1%.
0952 After turning DCRC31 back on, the phonon channels worked properly with their original settings. Attempted to set up for a background run with -4/4V, front-end gains 7, output gains 1. Manually set driver offsets to set baselines close to -0.8 V - for some channels these were the same values as previously set, for others they needed to be changed.
1015 Loaded configuration files into MultiDAQ and saved a multi-DCRC configuration file for DAQDAQ. Then started DAQDAQ to take a background run. But several phonon channels had shifted baselines: 1B was railed and 2B, 2C, 3A were all higher than usual. Stopped DAQDAQ.
1030 Went back to manual mode and saw the same thing with the readout vi. Restored a couple of phonon channels to -0.8V baselines simply by readjusting the driver offset. Then while looking at DIB2/DCRC33, more channels spontaneously railed. All 12 phonon channels railed except 3a.
1045 Phonon channels could be unrailed with a unlock/relock (NonInverting→Ground→NonInverting). In some cases a phonon channel could not be restored this way, but spontaneously came back when another phonon channel was unlocked/relocked.
1058 Another railing event occurred: all 12 channels except 1A, which was noise only, and 3A which looks OK. This was accompanied by a temperature spike to 39 mK from the 31 mK base.
1835 ANV after a couple “manually set up” half-hour series interspersed with flash I stopped MultiDAQ (which did NOT appear to take end-of-run randoms in response to my clicking stop, I guess Allison was right and we need Autorun for that. I stopped the run and used Detector Control minimally to just set the charges to zero. I've then used the Putty sessions to manually change register 0x30 for flashing. After the steady-state temp around 250 mK reached, I turned flashing off. The plan is to interact minimally and start a run again to see what channels we still have.
1925 ANV the minimalist thing kind of worked! I waited until about this time for a cool down, then put the charge biases up on Detector Control and started up MultiDAQ with the same settings. No channels were railed, maybe this is a good way to proceed, we'll see when we look at the data in more detail. Maybe this is just my eye but the pulses also look a bit nicer – maybe flashing helps to keep the pulses looking nice..
2012 ANV found the series 07150619_1923 looked pretty good, after about a half-hour run, I stopped it, took the voltages down and did a flash, will let it cool down and maybe come back later or tomorrow to do more runs…
2210 ANV came back after long cool down and biased the detectors and started another run. I immediately noticed a very large 5 kHz oscillation on the phonon channels of DIBs 1&2. I'll let this run proceed, so we can assess the noise, then after next flash I'll try resetting the timing link.
2246 ANV stopped the data, and re-established the timing link. This did nothing to remove the ~ 5kHz noise, interestingly though the noise now appears on DIB 3 where before it was only on DIBs 1&2. Let this run go for a while, if can't think of something else to try to remove the noise then quit for tonight. woops! Noise on DIB 3 seemed now to go away, strange.
2307 ANV stopped data to flash and cool again.
2313 ANV found that I had the LEDs enabled on DIB 1 !! Somehow all they did was produce that strange noise. I put them off and started another run, and the pulses look great, none are railed. I'll stick around for this run
2357 ANV stopped current run to flash
0002 ANV ugh, is this supposed to roll over to next run diary page? Anyway, I stopped flashing after plateau at about 280 mK.
0040 ANV started up last run of the night, will let it go for about 30 minutes, then stop it and leave
0111 ANV stopped current run and zero'd the charge bias and did a flash. I'll just turn off the LEDs then leave.

The runs after about 2200 had some funny oscillations in them. They were not removed by refreshing the timing link. UPDATE I found this was because I still had DIB 1 LEDs enabled. I'm very surprised that this noise was the only effect from that – I guess those LED s aren't working well.
