0832 MC (Cernox) at 79.4 K. Still 74.96 K (2.29 kΩ). CP/Tower/H35/MCsensor = 2.3149/1.0301/2.2719/-2.2553 kΩ.
0832 IVC pumping pressure 4.0e-6 mbar, IVC pressure 1.0e-4 mbar
0834 Fill LN cold trap Dewar
0853 with v9 open (and He3 pump on), G2 = 798.4 mbar. Barometric pressure 29.99 “Hg → Dump pressure = 800.8 mbar.
0858 Start cryocleaning mixture through Trap 2. V6 open to 12.8%.
0906 Line from Trap 2 somewhat frosty past the joint to the flexible tube. Reduce V6 to 12.7%.
0918 Settle on V6 at 12.4%. Slow increase in G2 when V13b closed, line less frosty.
0915 Calibrate leak detector.
0925 Leak detector pumping on IVC, background 14 pbar*l/s
0930 With a background leak rate of 14 pbar*l/s, commence LN2 blowout.
1007 Oops - noticed that v9 was open, so cryocleaning wasn't really happening properly. v9 now closed, commencing cryocleaning.
1035 Switch back to turbo pumping on IVC.
1100 Calibrated the charge bias settings on DCRC50 using the mini breakout box and a multimeter (info stored in a spreadsheet on Vuk-01).
1118 Stop cryocleaning. Pump mix back to dump: G2 = 801.5 mbar, barometric pressure 30.01 “Hg, corrected dump pressure 804.5 mbar.
Note: The Labview detector control/readout program reverses Qinner and Qouter Bias for DCRC50 (a RevC.1 board). This is something that must be considered for future data taking.
1138 Conduct a throughput test , and get a throughput rate of 66.5 mbar/min in G1. (G1 allowed to rise to about 628 mbar and fell to minimum of 97 mbar.) Background leak rate remained unchanged from 14 pbarL/s during test, indicating no leak. Pump mixture back to dump. Switch from leak checker to turbo pump on IVC.
1300 Flush main bath, and saw no change in leak rate from 14 pbarL/s.
1315 Add 4.6E-2mbar of He exchange gas to IVC.
1320 Commence 1st LHe transfer (-1.0%)
1715 End LHe transfer (91.3%).
1730 Fill LN2 cold trap dewar. Commence cryocleaning through cold trap 1.
1805 Stop cryocleaning and commence pumping mixture to dump.
1821 Isolate dump with G2=795 mbar, G1=0.4 mbar and P1=7 ubar. Pull LN2 cold traps from bath and open to P2 (isolated from scroll pump).
1826 P2=26 mbar, indicating that the traps are indeed dirty. Open scroll pump to P2 and commence pumping on both LN2 traps.
1830 With MC(Cernox)=11.1 K, open IVC to turbo pump to pump out IVC exchange gas.
