2015/06/03 (Wednesday)

0855 IVC pumping pressure = 1.0e-4 mbar, IVC pressure = 1.6e-2 mbar. Note: the Ebox vacuum seal was not completed last night, only a few clamps were in place.
0900 Turn on leak detector
0905 Complete Ebox seal
0925 Leak detector background 3.0 pbar*l/s isolated, 4.2 pbar*l/s when pumping on IVC
0935 Retighten lower IVC seal
0945 Leak check all connections at top of fridge. No leaks detected. Max signal 5.1 pbar*l/s.
0947 Leak check IVC seals. No leaks detected. Max signal 6.0 pbar*l/s.
1030 Pump and flush the main bath with He gas while performing leak check on IVC. Background leak rate was 6.1E-9 mbarL/s, and it rose to 6.2E-9 mbarL/s after filling main bath. No leak detected.
1100 Commence LN2 transfer. Add 4.6 mbar He exchange gas. Isolate IVC.
1230 LN Dewar empty (transfer hose went limp). Close LN Dewar. MC temperature (Cernox thermometer) 170 K and falling.
1324 Turned on He3 pump and pumped IGH contents to dump. After 90 minutes G2 (dump pressure) stabilized.
1345 Level resistor reading only 1.18 kΩ (should be around 1.3 kΩ if full), and during transfer there was never a significant plume of condensation, so it probably is not very full, may not last until tomorrow morning before warming again.
1350 MC (Cernox) = 122 K
1430 Start LN2 transfer again with freshly filled dewar, just to be safe.
1506 End LN2 transfer. Currently MC (Cernox)=99 K. Level resistor reading 1.3 kΩ.
1530 Dump pressure: G2 reading 802.2 mbar. Barometric pressure 29.87 “Hg, so corrected dump pressure = 800.5 mbar.
1638 Finish LN electrical checkout at about 86 K. Looks good. On DIB1, Feedback D/Ret read very high, 0.7 MΩ, but unplugging/replugging the cable at the Ebox brought it to a reasonable value (25 kΩ, still actually a little high). Something similar happened in yesterday's room temperature checkout, on a different DIB - it seems that maybe it's an intermittent problem with the cable to the breakout box.
1740 Start pumping out He exchange gas with scroll pump, switch to turbo pump once IVC pressure drops to 5.4E-2 mbar. MC temperature at 81 K.
1743 Cease pumping on fridge lines by closing gate valve and V6. G2=804 mbar. ← “fridge lines” doesn't include the actual fridge I think, i.e. between the condenser and gate valves
