  1. remove protector plates and buckle from cold ends of striplines
  2. disconnect stripline heatsink from ceiling of IVC. note: striplines were slack down to the lowest baffle. Not sure where they were bunched up, maybe top of tube above baffles.
  3. disconnect top indium seal and stripline tube indium seal
  4. two person job: one lowers the upper IVC while the other guides the striplines through the hole.

Disconnect U02844 thermometer from still plate and undo the wire heatsinks from still and 100mK stages.

Attach 600 mK rod:

  1. first the top 100 mK can and the MC spool must be removed
  2. to remove spool, first unwrap the wires that hang from the MC stage
  3. thermal contact surfaces should be polished with scotch-brite. Also polish inner/outer surfaces of can if they look tarnished.
  4. attach rod to still plate with a couple of screws
  5. work the top 100 mK can up around rod and attach in place on 100 mK plate
  6. attach all screws for rod and tighten with torque driver to 12 lb*in
  7. attach all screws for upper 100 mK can and tighten with torque driver to 12 lb*in
  8. tape over line-of-sight holes through 100 mK can with copper tape
  9. install upper IVC can (this must be done before reattaching spool)
  10. attach MC spool, central nut and seven screws. Tighten screws with torque driver to 12 lb*in
  11. wrap MC wiring bundle around spool and secure with some combination of kapton tape, teflon tape, dental floss to insure it does not touch 100 mK can. Wire to connector for tower thermometer should extend down the slot in the spool.
