1115 Dump = 802.0 mbar (G2, V9 open). MC reading 194K, Sorb reading 250 K.
5 mbar seen in fridge at P1. Pump this to dump, no measurable change in dump pressure.
Dump pressure corrected for barometric pressure: 803.0 mbar
1130 Begin loosening screws to drop Dewar.
1215 Dewar dropped. IVC frosty.
1330 IVC dry. Fill IVC with nitrogen.
1515 MC thermometer reads 285 K. Begin opening IVC, taking off middle and bottom pieces as a unit.
1555 Pushed a crumpled section of UHV foil up into the stripline tube from underneath, up into the hole in the IVC flange where the IVC widens out just below the MC. Foil extends perhaps 1 foot into tube. Trimmed it at the bottom to accommodate the 0.5“ clearance between IVC and top of 100 mK can. Pushed ends of foil up against IVC, then put pieces of copper tape over the opening, holding the foil up. Tape mostly covers the opening itself. Tried to keep foil and tape holes loose enough to allow plenty of gas flow. Poked holes in the foil before crumpling it, one small hole every 1” or so.

1655 100 mK can bottom piece is installed. There is plenty of clearance between it and the foil.

1710 100 mK can bottom installed. Copper shield for bottom installed also - outer and inner. The inner portion was taped on rather thoroughly. The hole for the 600 mK rod was left open and should be ample space for gas flow.
1730 IVC sealed. Pumping out IVC with scroll pump through both the stripline port and the other IVC port. Opened valve at pump slowly, opening and reclosing repeatedly until pressure started to get lower (read at turbo pump pressure gauge).
1750 Switch to turbopumping the IVC.
