1030 Fill N2 cold trap full.
1330 Completed leak check on IVC indium flanges and double-seal at top of IVC. Consistent leak rate of 2E-8 mbar l/s detected: no gross leak.
1630 Open valve V12B on IGH to pump out nitrogen cold trap 2. Will monitor pressures in G1 & G2 which are currently 8 mbar and 649 mbar respectively.
2040 Fill N2 cold trap full.
Pressure in G1 is oscillating at around 1.5 mbar. This may simply be outgassing from the trap rather than an indication of a leak. Nitrogen cold trap 2 may simply be quite dirty and requires cleaning. How it became so dirty so quickly during last run is a bit of a mystery if there really is no leak.
Pressure in G2 has increased to 658 mbar. This is probably just contamination from nitrogen cold trap 2. It may be safe to leave valve V12B open overnight. However, it may be more prudent to close it and then open it again in the morning: if the pressure in G1 jumps it could indicate a leak. Will cogitate on the matter.
2230 Pressure in G2 has increased to 660 mbar. Pressure in G1 is holding steady at a little under 2 mbar. Let's close valve V12B just to be safe.
