1800 After detector checkout, detector was placed in second cabinet from top.
Lead source was moved to bottom shelf.
2140 Assume Vq (charge lines) are connected to pin 12 (Qi) and Vp (phonon lines) are connected to pin 11 (Qo). Started with Vp = Vq = -4 V, and adjusted Vp in 0.5 V steps towards 0 V. Although asymmetric collection was first witnessed at Vp = -3 V, at no point did symmetric collection completely disappear. Perhaps this is expected. Instead, let's use Vp = b*Vq, where b = 0.4. This value was found by Scott Hertel to be the maximum boost for 25 mm thick crystals before bulk discrimination was compromised.
Noticed that default 0 V bias values for DCRC31 were incorrect. Not sure how that happened. Set new defaults.
Start flashing detector for 5 hours followed by 2 hour cooldown and data acquisition. Each bias set will consist of four 10-minute data series, interspersed by 30 seconds of flashing and 20 minutes of cooldown. Data will be acquired in following order:
Vp [V] Vq [V]
-12 -4.8
-8 -3.2
-4 -1.6
-2 -0.8
-12 0.0
-8 0.0
-4 0.0
-2 0.0
