| 0025 | We appear to have hit a disappointing base temperature of 95.1 mK. Reduce temperature of 1 K pot from 1.80 K to 1.56 K in attempt to reduce this further. However, it will only by us 5 mK at most. Having said that, mixing chamber is still cooling very slowly, so may be worth waiting until the morning before making a decision. I doubt it will reach 70 mK. |
| | Quick electrical check still shows shorts to ground of between 2 nS and 3 nS when testing phonon lines. It is slightly worrying as to why they haven't disappeared yet. We can probably live with them, but won't know for sure until we get the phonon channels working, and that requires a lower base temperature than that we have currently achieved. Focus on achieving a lower base temperature for now. |
