Turned on leak checker. IVC pressure 1.0E-4 mbar.
IVC pressure 8.6E-5 mbar. Opened leak checker to IVC. Isolated turbo pump.
Ran a leak check. Background was 2.7E-9 mbar l/s.
Flange on T-junction closest to the E-box (the same culprit from previous leak tests) rose the leak rate up to 5E-7 mbar l/s.
Opened turbo pump to the IVC and closed leak checker.
Opened leak checker to the IVC and closed turbo pump.
Began another leak check. Background leak rate at 5.3E-9 mbar l/s. Testing the flange on T-junction closest to E-box, the leak rate rose to 8.8E-7 mbar l/s is less than 30 seconds.
Filled the IVC with nitrogran fill gas.
Took out the O-ring on the flange that was leaking (T-junction closest to E-box), and replaced it with a new O-ring. It seems the rubber part of the old O-ring is very loose fitting
The inner (closer to the central axis) part of the flange on the T-junction appears to be smoothed a bit. However, since the other side seems to have kept a sharp right angle, this may not pose as big of a problem.
Turned around the metal hose that touches the T-junction on the E-box side. That is, the two metal flanges are now lined up with a different metal flange.
Put all the gaskets back together, resealed the E-box, and began pumping out the IVC with the scroll pump.
Pressure in the IVC dropped to 8.6E-2 mbar. Opened the turbo pump and closed the scroll pump.
Hooked up the turbo pump to the dewar and began pumping it out over night.
