1032 Turned on leak checker. IVC pressure: 2.2E-4 mbar.
1103 Started lead checker. IVC pressure: 2.2E-4 mbar.
1110 Opened leak checker to IVC. Isolated turbo pump.
IVC pressure: 4.0E-3 mbar. Background leak rate: 3.7E-9 mbarL/s.
1115 Small leak found in flange closest to T-junction. Leak rate: 5.2E-9 mbarL/s.
1119 Rechecked flange closest to T-junction. Small leak still present.
Background rate: 3.5E-9 mbarL/s. Leak rate: 9.0E-9 mbarL/s.
1131 Tightened flange closest to T-junction. Background rate rose to 4.8E-9 mbarL/s.
1134 Leak found in flange in T closest to the E-box. Leak rate: 2.2E-7 mbarL/s.
1135 Recheck same flange. Background rate: 2.3E-8 mbar/s. Leak rate: 2.6E-7 mbarL/s.
1144 New background leak rate: 8.8E-9 mbarL/s.
1125 Slow rise in leak rate seen with double flange. Leak rate: 9.9E-9 mbarL/s.
1149 New background leak rate: 1.1E-8 mbarL/s.
1150 Small possible leak on flange between E-box and T. (Left of T). Leak rate: 1.7E-8 mbarL/s.
1200 Finished leak check. Final background leak rate: 1.7E-8 mbarL/s.
1330 Filled the IVC with nitrogen fill gas.
1400 Tried to clean and adjust the flange on the T-junction closest to the E-box (the one that had the biggest leak this morning). Adjusted both the flange between the T-junction and the E-box, and the flange closest to the T-junction in the process. There seems to be a gap in all these flanges on the side opposite the fastener. However, all these flanges look the same.
1530 Began evacuating the IVC.
Closed the check valve and opened the scroll pump to the IVC.
1550 Pressure dropped below 5E-2 mbar in the IVC. Opened the turbo pump and closed the scroll pump.
1830 Conducted an electrical check on striplines 19 and 27. Everything looked fine. QET lines, QET return lines, Qi Bias, and Qo bias were all reading around 2ns conductance. However, this was seen on both striplies, so perhaps this is an effect of the breakout box rather than the striplines.
1930 Performed a leak check and discovered a gross leak, background level of 4.4e-9 jumped to 6e-7 within a few seconds of the last connection from the EBOX to the T-junction leading to the IVC and check valve being exposed to syringe test.
2120 Reconnected all flanges on the T-junction.
2210 Pressure in the IVC: 5.4e-4
