Begin taking data. First flash for 20 min then cool for 90 min. Take data with Dibs 1/2 biased at +/- 4 V. Trigger settings can be found in Tables 2-4 on yesterday's run diary. 15 min series, 6 seconds of flashing in between, and 20 minutes of cool down. 15 data series to be taken. Am-241 only.
Filled LN2 cold trap.
Fed Cricket 4 pellets.
Begin LHe transfer. (23.5%)
Flash LEDs on Dibs 1/2 for 30 seconds.
End LHe transfer. (83.1%)
Data quality of this morning's data is not good. For some reason Qi and Qo on Dib 1 have no pulses showing. Need to figure out why…
Reading from DCRC33 displays: 0B00. I think this is saying the FET heater was on, and I'm really unsure as to why that would be the case. Perhaps this had something to do with the charge signal disappearing.
DAQ will not trigger past the initial first 500 events.
Noticed that DCRC31 was connected to 2 ports and quit one. That didn't fix the triggering. When I reset the power to the boards, I found that Board 116 was still connected to the readout vi. This could have all been due to that.
Excellent. The DAQ is triggering past the first 500 events again. Dib 2/3 still looking noisy. Still need to see why there were no signals Qi/Qo for Dib 1 in the data and if this happens again.
Checked trigger channels. They seem acceptable. Keeping the same settings as this morning, did a quick data run. Qi and Qo definitely are showing pulses on Dib 1 and Dib 2. Data rate ~ 7 Hz.
Take test data run. Flash for 6 seconds, cool for 20 min. One 15 min series with previous trigger settings.
Checked on data taking. An error with board 32. When quitting the data acquisition process, board 32 stays connected to port 5000.
Cleared port 5000 for board 32. Very quick manual flash. Manually started data taking with MultiDAQ vi. Charge pulses are visible. I'll let this run for 20 min.
Suspicious of the pre-flashing request made via the DAQDAQ2 vi. Maybe when it first flashed, it did not properly transition to data taking.
Note: Before data taking, 1) always check control/readout vi's to make sure they're off; 2) Type “sock” into putty session to make sure the boards are only connected to 5002 at the moment; 3) Type “rd 30” - this tells you the boards power status, whether it's zapping, flashing, etc. You're fine to take start taking data if it reads “0800” or “0A00”.
Fortunately the pulses themselves look okay but the cold traps are dirty again. There's either a hard block or the mixture itself is really dirty. Warming up the fridge now.
Remove DCRC boards.
Pump mixture to dump.
Stop 1K pot.
Switch recovery to exhaust.
Filled LN2 cold trap.
Turn on mixing chamber heater to 10 mW.
Evacuated 1K pot.
Fed Cricket too many pellets because I enjoyed watching him jump out of the water. He hit my finger trying to get the pellet! (4 < too many < 7 pellets)
