Run Diary

0900 The last flash the data taking was set up to do had a problem and the mixing chamber temperature went up to 800 mK. It came down to 58 mK but it's slowly rising again. It might be fluctuations around that temperature. However, G1 and G2 have risen to 257, 244 mbar, respectively and have somewhat slowed down around there. The pressure in the still is now at 0.038 mbar.
Also noticed in the DAQ file for board 31 that the LED chosen was actually number 2 ; however, the current chosen for it was 0 uA. Not sure this had an affect because the intermediate flashing seemed fine, and no current should have been applied to that LED. The temperature went higher than expected during flashing, but it seemed stable before and in between the series.
0920 Filled LN2 cold trap mostly full.
0945 Safety Inspection!
1000 Fed Cricket 4 pellets. We did well, Cricket!
1012 LED 2 might have received some power leakage, causing this increase in temperature. The fridge has not yet recovered, though. Temperature: 68 mK. G1 and G2 are 268 and 254 mbar, respectively. P1 = 0.032 mbar.
1125 Begin LHe transfer (18%).
1220 End LHe transfer (89.6%).
1544 Despite unplugging the boards and doing a LHe transfer, the pressures in G1 and G2 (354, 327 mbar) and the mixing chamber temperature (81 mk) have not lowered. P1 is now too low (0.022 mbar).
1605 Going to clean cold traps. Close gate and condenser valves. Close V13A and open V5A.
1811 Fed Cricket 4 pellets.
1830 Closed off all valves on IGH. Stopped 1 K pot. Pulled out cold traps. Opened line between He-4 pump and cold traps. Begin pumping on cold traps as they warm up.
2125 Finished 3 rounds of cleaning the cold traps. Waiting for them to cool.
2156 Closed all valves on IGH.
2210 Returned cold traps to respective positions.
2214 Start 1K pot and He recovery.
2220 Open gate and condenser valves. Open V1, V13A, and V12A. Open V6 gradually.
2248 V6 opened all the way.
Filled LN2 cold trap.
2312 Fridge seems to be recovering now. Currently at 56 mK and still decreasing. G1 and G2 ~ 46, 48 mbar. P1 ~ 0.06 mbar.
