0155 Mixing chamber has reached a stable temperature of 59.7 mK. Pressures in G1 & G2 are 63 mbar and 86 mbar respectively. Although it appears as though cleaning the traps had no effect, perhaps they will reduce over time. It may be best to give them a few hours and see what the situation is like in the morning.
Set all phonon values to zero, open the loop and start zapping SQUIDs.
0435 Finished zapping SQUIDs. Zapped each SQUID four times and waited for mixing chamber to reach a stable base temperature of 59.6 mK before taking a look at pulses. Pulses look fine on DIBs 1 & 3. However, pulses look rather noisy on DIB 2 and channel C2's bias appears to be too low. One could change channel C2's bias, but we know this channel has a problem and it isn't very useful for data analysis. It may be easiest and best to leave it alone. However, the fact the other pulses look a little noisy is cause for concern. Set all phonon values to zero and open the loop for each SQUID associated with DIB 2. Will give SQUIDs two quick zaps to see if this improves things. Otherwise, we'll just start data acquisition.
0520 Phonon pulses on DIB 2 look better and C2 has improved. Start data acquisition with Ba-133 source 6” below top of mu-metal shield. Increase trigger threshold to 25 ADC bins on all phonon channels. Pulses look fine in test run, and there aren't too many noisy triggers probably due to the higher trigger thresholds.
Flash for one hour, followed by cool down for 2 hours. Then take 3 hour-long data series at -/+4 V bias, followed by three 60-minute data series at +/-4 V bias. Flash all LEDs for 6 seconds between data series with usual settings, and wait 20 minutes for cryostat to cool. Finish with a 20 minute flash and 2-hour cool down.
0600 Fill N2 cold trap full.
1010 Fed Cricket 3 pellets.
1455 Filled LN2 cold trap.
1645 Looking at this morning's data, it seemed that the series starting at 1225 did not have a period of flashing beforehand. Also, for the sets that did have flashing prior, data taking seemed to start at 63 mK, which was not the minimum temperature. After flashing, temperature lowered to a base of 60 mK.
