Cryocleaning has stagnated. Open valve V6 on IGH to 13.2%.
Fill IVC with 4.6 mbar N2 exchange gas.
Commence nitrogen transfer.
Nitrogen level meter resistance 1.37 kΩ. Cease nitrogen transfer. Attach ping-pong ball.
Cryocleaning has stagnated. Open valve V6 on IGH to 13.4%.
Fed Cricket 3 pellets. He's acting funny and not eating his food. Maybe it's time to get him a heater…
Filled LN2 cold trap.
Turn on scroll pump and begin evacuating IVC. Temp: 86.3 K. Pressure in IVC: 2.2 mbar.
Opened up turbo pump to IVC. Isolated and turned off scroll pump. Maybe my eyes are deceiving me but the temperature seems to be decreasing just slightly faster.
Fill N2 cold trap full.
Mixing chamber temperature 82.4 K. Conduct electrical check. No sign of shorts to ground that plagued the last run. However, Qi/Qo bias to QET return for DIBs 1 & 2 yield conductance 25-26 nS. I've spoken to Nader about this in the past - it probably isn't anything to worry about, and he's seen these values around liquid nitrogen temperatures before. As the shorts appear in both DIBs, it is unlikely to be due to a short. More than likely, the crystal is still conducting at this temperature. Had only one DIB been affected, the values would almost certainly be due to a short. It is unlikely that both side coaxes or DIBs have a short. DIB 3 has no charge channels, so is irrelevant in this diagnosis. Let's see what the situation is like at 4.2 K… unless there's a leak…
Mixing chamber temperature 82.3 K. Background helium leak level 1.6E-9 mbar l/s. Start blowing nitrogen out of main bath.
