| 1515 | Weird behaviour witnessed. Wire bonded pins short to chassis sometimes. Resistance changes when cover is removed and placed back, but nothing stays constant, ie. cannot recreate short. Seems like something is touching. Most likely suspect is DIB 2 Pin 4, as lowest resistance measured to chassis was 33 Ω. DIB 2 Pin 3 yielded 70 Ω when this was the case, indicating the short lies here. However, pin was checked to chassis before wire bonding, and found to be open. Additionally, pin was checked on Friday to chassis and connection was open. |
|---|---|
| 1720 | Decide to proceed. It seems like something is making contact, but difficult to determine what it could be. The short might disappear at base temperature. Worst comes to worst, we would not be able to bias channel A. |
| Conduct detector level continuity checks just to ensure values are similar to those listed above: looks fine. | |

| 2355 | There is a connection between pins 2 & 3 on DIB2… trouble is, pin2 isn't wire bonded to anything! There is a short, and it seems as though the side coax is the suspect. The side coax itself is fine, but when it is connected to the tower, it shorts. This is due to the pins bending - the distance between the DIB and tower is smaller than that the side coax spans. We need a spacer, perhaps 0.02“ (about half the width of the socket). |
|---|---|
| Tried swapping side coaxes and DIBs, but had no luck. |
