NaI array notes

The NaI array is controlled via both a Windows computer and a Linux computer. Collectively these are the NaI DAQ computers.

The Linux computer can be accessed directly in the lab, or remotely. You can ssh from one of the login computers, e.g. cdms2.spa.umn.edu.

ssh cdms@134.84.150.107
password: [redacted]

DAQ software is located at

/packages/R76-Firmware/library/C/lib

To set lower and upper trigger thresholds for the array:

./setregisters -R -t 7.0 -T 11.0

It will ask if you want to set registers to default settings; say “yes”. The above example sets a trigger threshold of 7.0 MeV (if any detector is above 7.0 MeV it triggers) and an upper veto of 11.0 MeV (if any detector is above 11.0 MeV the trigger is canceled).
