- Lab Update
- 1K needle valve leak check:
- High background rate (~9e-5 mbar L/s) but still see small signal when spraying He on needle valve, with needle valve closed.
- Applied grease and replaced o-rings. Still leaky, no improvement.
- Yan ordered V1000-2×6 (allorings.com, 6mm ID, 10 mm OD) o-rings which might work better.
- Turbo pump station leak:
- Tried different Tee to check whether o-rings/Tee is leaky. No leak.
- Connected a valve to the pressure gauge housing (thanks to Yan and Matt) and it is clearly leaky.
- No immediate solution to replace it (cold cathode gauge). Can manage pumping pressure with a turbo pumping station.
- Amount of exchange gas added is an issue.
