- Lab Update - Run 76 post-mortem
- Shunt resistances have been modified on three SQUETs with (hopefully) 4 good phonon channels each
- Checked whether the source mover might have moved during installation; center motor can rotate pretty freely, second motor seems to stay fixed Video Clip
- Confirmed there was no tape over the collimator hole to block alphas - put a piece on for the next run
- Possible plan for Run 77:
- Carson won't be available to start 2D Source Mover testing until Jan 16
- Consider starting a run before that:
- test new stripline tube seals, see if cryo problems are fixed
- test whether tower wire replacements produce too much of a heat leak
- mount the old tower thermometer using the fridge wiring, see if it works better now
- mount the new calibrated RuOX thermometer using stripline wires
- fix the center motor of the source mover in place, and set the second motor at some offset - test whether the position looks like we expect in data
- could plug in the second motor so we could potentially move the source along a circular path (maybe try to measure current first in some test rig)
- Maybe Carson and Scott could do source mover tests at the same time, with the extra motors and 3D-printed parts?
