- Lab Update - Run 76 ending
- Warming up. Beginning shield disassembly today
- SQUET problems:
- recall in August, several hundred volts was suddenly applied to HV (Side2 bias)
- last week tried reading out Side1 channels for the first time since then; found that 4 of the 6 could not be unrailed
- Friday electrical checks during warming: the bad Side1 channels all show open SQUIDs. (There are damaged SQUIDs on each of the three SQUETs used.)
- Assessment:
- we may still have three SQUETs with 4 working phonon channels. They would need wirebonding work to change all the shunt resistances to 6.7 mOhm
- Leak checks: couldn't see leaks to the IVC from either the dilution unit or the stripline elbow, at around 10K. But the background signal was high.
- Plan to shut down and disassemble NaI array today
