- Will take data with a different NaI trigger window: 4.73-5.13 MeV (instead of 7-11 MeV), to target a different Si(n,gamma) line. About the same ratio of (n/gamma) rate to background (but higher overall rate, and lower recoil energy)
- Competing with the same Si(n,gamma) lines from the sand in the columns
- Should we try to shield the NaI from the columns? 2“ of lead scatters 97% of 8 MeV gammas
- some kind of frame for a stack of lead bricks?
- alternatively - can we remove the sand?
