  • Lab Update - Run 76 in progress
    • Temperature spikes have mostly gone away
    • Lack of good pulses in phonon channels made it look like there might be problems with helium films…
      • … but an IbIs check revealed that they all need higher QET biases than before to get them into transition
        • (suggesting that the detector is significantly colder now than before the warmup/recool)
      • Found good new settings for the phonon channels
    • Took data at 0V and -6V, working on the calibration “ladder”. Need to verify that these look OK.
    • cdmsbats now working on CentOS (thanks to Himangshu).
    • Still working on MIDAS for CentOS
  • Priority Updates
  • General Updates

      • Compared trigger rate in data and simulation (130.8 sec livetime, 1“ boron shield, neutron source).
      • The trend looks very similar but the overall rate is higher than data.
      • Naive guess : the disagreement at higher energies might be coming from “excess” energy deposition in NaI from nCap induced high energy photons that we have been observing in simulation (see summary from May 12 meeting )
      • NaI energy deposition spectrum comparison between data and simulation can give a hint about the source of disagreement.
