- Lab Update
- Started cooldown after fixing thermal short and electrical short. But the electrical short reappeared while cooling to 77K
- I had guessed the short was at the SQUET - but looking over past runs I've concluded it's very likely the side coax. This side coax has shown the same low-temperature short in two previous runs (sometimes it's a weak short which doesn't prevent operation)
- Warming up again. We'll need a full deinstallation this time to get to the side coax. Either
- try to fix the bad side coax. Can we guess where the short occurs? Any chance of reproducing it at room temperature?
- Use a different side coax. I rejected one at the beginning because a bias resistor read open. Probably a broken wirebond, should be able to fix it.
