- Lab Update
- Warm now - last week we opened the IVC and fixed the thermal problem (touch between Still and Cold Plate stages). Couldn't reproduce the short but added more insulation at the probable problem spot.
- Taking a long time to pump helium out of the IVC. I guess that's because we filled the IVC with helium while still under 4 K to warm up quickly, and it became overpressured - maybe that caused a lot of trapped helium.
- We've been pumping the IVC for several days and checking it with the leak detector daily - it started 3 orders of magnitude higher than usual (3000 pbarL/s, or 3e-6 mbarL/s), now it's down to 160 pbarL/s or 1.6e-7 mbarL/s.
